Abstrakt: Genetic study of the BRAF gene reveals new variants and high frequency of the V600E mutation among Iranian ameloblastoma patients. Ameloblastoma is one of the most common odontogenic tumours corresponding to about 11% of neoplasms of this group.1 Despite its benign nature, this tumour presents aggressive behaviour, with significant destruction of the maxillary bones, and high rates of recurrence.2 Although its clinical-radiographical and morphological characteristics are well-established in the literature, its pathogenesis remains poorly understood.
