The article presents news related to the developments in the universities and colleges of the United States. In connection with the community celebration of the Oregon Centennial in 1959, Linfield College is planning a summer school of creative arts which will involve a wide variety of productions. Portland State College has scheduled the 11th annual Town Meeting Tournament for February 15,16, and 17, 1959. Each participant will defend his answer to the question, "What should the Federal government do now about desegregation in the schools?" in three-way debates before Portland area audiences. James W. Yeater, doctoral candidate from the University of Illinois, has been appointed Technical Theatre Director at Arizona State College, Tempe, Arizona. |
