The article presents the results of the decipherment of the Linear Elamite writing that was utilized in southern Iran in circa 2300-1880 BCE. The writing was discovered during the excavations by French excavators in the Acropolis mound of Susa in 1903. Among the scholars who examined the writing are F. Bork, C. Frank, W. Hinz, and P. Meriggi. |
