Advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a common disease in clinical practice with conflicting views on treatment strategy in some cases. This manuscript presents a clinical case of primary inoperable adenocarcinoma of the left lung. As a result of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT) a reduction in stage was achieved and the patient underwent subsequent successful surgery in a thoracic surgery clinic. The role of NCT as a part of a multimodal treatment plan and its effect on subsequent surgical treatment are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
