System for Effective Machining of Large Parts.

Abstrakt: An effective system for machining large solids of revolution with basing on two rollers is outlined. Such parts may be machined in situ, without the need for disassembly. In practice, restorative machining is required to eliminate the shape errors that appear in the course of operation. By the proposed method, the machining module may be based on the surface of the supporting rollers and possible displacements of the tire surface may be taken into account. Such basis automatically ensures that longitudinal supply is parallel to the axis of the workpiece, thereby saving time and eliminating possible machining errors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
