Reflection of acoustic waves propagating through porous medium saturated with water from boundary of porous medium in pores of which formation of gas hydrate has occurred has been studied. A system of equations is recorded that describes the propagation of acoustic waves in a porous medium saturated with water, as well as conditions at the boundaries of "water - porous medium saturated with water" and "porous medium saturated with water - porous medium saturated with hydrate". Coefficients of reflection and passage by acoustic wave of considered boundaries are obtained. It is possible to determine hydrate formation and its location in porous medium by means of acoustic waves. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
