Abstrakt: |
An assessment of the modifying ability of experimental Al–Ti–Y master-alloys with different Ti/Y ratios on Al–7 % Si–0.45 % Mg alloys has been carried out. Titanium in complex with yttrium has a positive effect on the structure of the Al-Si alloy. The master-alloy with an atomic ratio Ti/Y=12.7 exhibits the greatest modifying effect. At yttrium content of more than 0.03 % in the Al–7Si–0.45Mg alloy, the morphology of the eutectic changes from lamellar to fine-granular. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
