Samples of yttrium oxide doped with lithium were synthesized in air at temperatures of 1200-1600 °C at varying dopant content from 0 to 4.7 wt. %. The spectra of cathodoluminescence and thermoluminescence curves of ceramic were measured. An increase in a cathodoluminescence intensity in the bands of 485, 540 and 550 nm and thermoluminescence peak at 360 K are recorded when the lithium dopant concentration grows. Thermoluminescence for a sample doped with lithium maximum concentration after sintering at 1400 °C demonstrates the possibility to use lithium for creating higher concentration of defects similar to high-temperature sintering.
