Abstrakt: The article investigates the heavy metal concentrations in the muscle, gill, and liver of fishes Mugil cephalus, Mullus barbatus, Caranx crysos from the industrial and agricultural regions with untreated waste waters in Turkey. The contamination level in the marine environment affected the country's food supplies. The researchers discovered that heavy metal concentration of fishes from the northeast Mediterranean Sea were higher at all stations. They recommended actions to address this issue in order to safeguard human health as well as the environment.
