The effectiveness in the execution of an automation project is linked to correct planning of the objectives and scope, execution period, and expense budget and it is where more errors are made, which brings costly deviations, motivated by the absence of a methodology Despite the many existing ones, that complying with all the current Standards is applied during the life cycle of the Project. Therefore, the problem to be solved is the elimination of the frequent technical and organizational errors that cause rectifications and modifications due to the lack of precision in the management of project information. An analysis of different known methods of planning and execution of projects is carried out, taking their experiences and successes to propose a Methodology and develop its documentation to facilitate the planning of the different stages. A vast business experience is included in real automation projects that enrich the proposed methodology. To validate its effectiveness, a comparative analysis of two projects executed in the CUBANIQUEL business group is carried out, one without applying the Methodology and the other applying it, where the advantages obtained are demonstrated.
