Abstrakt: The article reports that global reduction in the incidence of common seasonal respiratory viral infections has resulted from measures to limit the transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pandemic. Topics include the incidence of acute exacerbations of chronic respiratory diseases that include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and cystic fibrosis; and bacterial pneumonia and sepsis has demonstrate the profound impact of common respiratory viruses.
