Abstrakt: Structural-cartographic geological and geophysical materials were analyzed in order to construct a series of models of structural–geodynamic systems of the basement of the Black Sea–Caspian Sea region (Upper Paleozoic‒Neogene), reconstructing the geological history of the modern tectonic appearance of the region in time-varying geodynamic stress fields. They are compared with the location of hydrocarbon accumulations in the sedimentary cover. The study region encompasses the waters of the Black, Azov, and Caspian seas and adjacent flat and mountainous territories of ten coastal states, including Russia. As a result of analysis of the models, the presence of three sources of geodynamic impulses was determined—nonterritorial (external), territorial (regional), and local, located in the contour of a specific structural–geodynamic system—which create the total force field that forms the structural appearance of the basement of the region at each of its evolutionary stages. An important result of our research, which has prognostic value, is the conclusion about the long-term preservation of the regime of increased mobility of tectonic contact zones between the basement of blocks of young platforms and some areas of the ancient platforms of the region, which is a factor that creates a set of favorable conditions for the formation of hydrocarbon accumulations in the sedimentary cover overlying these zones.
