Donor health interventions including counselling and medical consults for deferred donors will help sustain the bond between the potential donor and the blood centre. Facilities at blood donor drives, fixed donor centres and blood centres need to be carefully structured to enhance a pleasant donor experience while being regulated to ensure donor safety and quality. Re-engaging lapse donors requires critical approach in order to prevent increase of seroconvert donors and disrupting existing donor pool. B Aims b : In this research we aimed to: Explore the perspectives of current donors and non-donors on (a) genomic testing of donated blood and (b) the potential impact of information provided by genomic testing, including personalized donation schedules, on donor identity and decisions about donating.
