Biometric authentication system based on face recognition.

Abstrakt: Educational institutions have been worried about the regularity of student attendance for a few days now. This is partly attributed to the overall academic performance of students being influenced by their attendance at the institute. In particular, there are two conventional approaches to participation marking that call out the roll call or take student sign on paper or fingerprint (biometric). Both of them were more time-consuming and complicated. Therefore a computer-based student attendance management system is required to allow the faculty to automatically maintain attendance records. We introduced the automated attendance method using MATLAB here. We have prepared our ideas for the implementation of the "Smart Attendance System" in which broad applications are embedded. Because of face authorization, the appliance provides face recognition, which saves time and reduces chances of proxy attendance. Therefore in a sector where participation plays a crucial role, this strategy is often applied. The framework is planned for the use of the MATLAB platform. The proposed method uses the algorithm of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) that is based on the Eigen face strategy. The test image (stored image or feed image) and the training image are compared by this algorithm and students who are present and absent are calculated. In an excel sheet that is updated automatically inside the system, the attendance record is retained. This saves time and energy, especially if it's a conference with a large number of scholars.
