Abstrakt: In this period where Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) use has become a major source of energy for factories, homes and automobiles alike, LPG leakage poses great risk. The goal of this paper is to design an LPG leakage detection and response system based on a microcontroller. Using the MQ-6 gas sensor, the device detects LPG leakage and alerts the user to the leakage via GSM-based SMS and a buzzer. Most notably, to eliminate wastage and avoid injuries, the device shuts off LPG supply. The device unit periodically check the LPG gas concentration present in the atmosphere if it exceeds the cut-off threshold level then the alert message will be sent to respective users and triggers the alarm buzzer at the same time, displaying the information on the LCD. Most notably, to eliminate wastage and avoid injuries, the device shuts off LPG supply. When the concentration of LPG in the air reaches the fixed level, the device automatically alarms the user by sending SMS to the required mobile number stored on the microcontroller and triggers the warning buzzer at the same time, showing the information on the LCD.
