Methods for spatial mathematical processing of seafloor digital elevation models (DEM) make it possible us to obtain a wide range of characteristics of the seafloor surface. The results of DEM processing can have both independent practical application and act as parameters for systematizing, typing, and zoning of the seafloor; they can also perform intermediate or preparatory calculations for subsequent operations with the converted file, depending on the problem being solved. In this paper, we propose a possible option for classifying methods for processing seafloor DEMs and present examples of their application. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
