| Abstrakt: |
The article presents observations of the overwintering site of 29 Muremys japonica or Japanese Pond Turtle that were captured in a creek on the Sunomiyagawa River in Boso Peninsula, Chiba Prefecture, Japan on February 3, 2019. The study identified the overwintering of the species on a mud bottom of a shallow water covered with rose. It attributes the wounds and injuries suffered by the species and reduced number of turtle population to the increased number of in invasive P. Lotor and predation. |
