The research aims to model imperfect maintenance using the framework of lifetime reduction & sequentially incorporates the effect of imperfect corrective and preventive maintenance. Four virtual age processes are constructed to illustrate general retrieval patterns and different modes of restoration for both CM and PM. The general renewal process maximum likelihood estimators are derived and then used for parameter estimation. Maximum likelihood estimators are extracted from the general renewal process and then used for parameter estimation. Using Monte Carlo simulation, the approximate numbers of failures for the proposed approaches is measured. For all four techniques, two distinct CM and PM maintenance effectiveness indices are calculated to offer a deeper insight into the maintenance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
