The main methods of troubleshooting electrical equipment of rolling stock are discussed: organoleptic, parametric analysis, probability-time, half-split (dichotomy), logical diagnostic, and graph theory methods. It is determined that the greatest effect can be achieved by creating computer-based diagnostic tools for implementation in every locomotive depot and improving the preventive maintenance system, as well as switching to condition-based maintenance. A practical example of diagnosing electrical equipment of rolling stock using the back-to-back method is described. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
