Current literature suggests that epilepsy occurs in one-third of the participants with ATR-X syndrome [23] and seizure onset is mainly in early infancy (0-4 years). Discussion Epilepsy In this large sample of individuals with ATR-X syndrome, epilepsy is diagnosed in about one-third of the participants, very similar to the 34% reported from a previous cohort.
