Two-layer ZnO films, including nanosized diamonds obtained by the method of detonation synthesis (DND) with the average particle size of 10 nm, are obtained by the sol-gel method. The seed layer on a glass substrate does not contain DND; the second layer is obtained from a mixture of Zn(NO3)2⋅6H2O, hexamethylenetetramine, polyvinylpyrrolidone (12 600 g/mol), and 10–80 g/L DND. The structure and properties of the films are monitored by scanning electron and atomic force microscopy. It is found that an increase in the amount of DND in the film leads to quenching of the luminescence of ZnO (λex = 260 nm, λem = 363 nm) by factors of 2.7 to 25.1. At a DND concentration of 80 g/L, the optical band gap narrows from 3.324 to 3.298 eV. It is found that the luminescence of the films is influenced by low concentrations of the DNA deposited on the surface by spin-coating. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
