Abstrakt: Lateral epicondylitis of the humerus is a disease that occurs as a result of overexertion and is manifested by pain in the lateral epicondyle of the humerus. Also called "tennis elbow". The etiological factors of the disease are chronic, recurrent tensions in the muscle attachment sites for the epicondyle of the humerus, which cause microruptures in the tendon fibers. Pain localized to one or both epicondyles of the humerus is the leading symptom. Treatment can be operative and conservative. Conservative treatment includes drug therapy, physiotherapy and kinesitherapy. There are many studies that show that manual therapy reduces the pain and dysfunction associated with chronic lateral epicondylitis. The existing literature shows that Mulligan-based manual therapy reduces pain and dysfunction significantly compared to conventional physiotherapy. A study was conducted in the following databases: Pubmed, Research Gate, Google Scholar, Health Source, Science Direct. The results of this review support the use of Mulligan mobilization in lateral epicondylitis to provide immediate, short-term and long-term benefits. In addition, positive results have been described from the application of manual mobilization to the cervical spine, although data on long-term effects are limited (Herd & Meserve, 2008). Overall, this review identifies the need for further high-quality studies using a larger sample, valid performance indicators and longer follow-up periods. The aim of this study was to provide a systematic review of the available literature on the efficacy of Mulligan manual therapy in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
