Building a system for targeted physical training and sports of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria depending on the specifics of the tasks of the various formations of the armed forces and introducing some new principles, methods and approaches, including building certain psycho-physical qualities, is a very important component of the combat training of troops and an integral part of military training and education. Development of modern models for training, methods and indicators for measurement and evaluation, methods, tools and system for implementation, control and evaluation of the training of servicemen of the Bulgarian Army, which increase the quality of physical and psycho-physical training, develop militarily -applied qualities and skills and in general increases their combat readiness and effectiveness for participation in modern operations and combat operations. The purpose of physical training is to ensure the physical readiness of servicemen for combat activities, performing the following main tasks: Development of basic physical qualities - strength, speed, endurance, agility and flexibility. Mastering and improving habits for moving in rough terrain, overcoming obstacles and hand-tohand combat. Improving physical development, strengthening health and increasing the body's resistance to the effects of adverse factors in military-professional activities. The current experiment involved 68 third-year cadets from the Vasil Levski National Military University, who were conditionally divided into two groups - a group of men (50 people) and a group of women (18 people). The purpose of the experiment was to investigate the changes in the physical capability of the cadets during the third year of their education and to determine the effectiveness of the Physical Education Program at the National Military University. An experimental study conducted in period – August 2017 – September 2018, as follows: 1) Stage 1 - from the beginning to the end of August 2017 The cadets third year were divided into two equal groups - men and women. Their initial data were taken, which give us information about their physical capacity. 2) Stage 2 – from September 2017 to June 2018 The cadets from a group of men and a group of women participated together in the physical training classes, according to the current curriculum in the discipline. 3) Stage 3 – from July 2018 to September 2018 The final data were collected.
