Exchange bias, magnetic, and dielectric properties of La2FeMnO6 nanoparticles.

Abstrakt: We report on temperature-dependent magnetic and dielectric properties of orthorhombic La2FeMnO6 nanoparticles. Curie temperature of La2FeMnO6 is seen to be 262 K. Possible competing magnetic interactions at 97 K are observed from the field cooled and zero-field cooled magnetization measurements. Magnetization measurements show an exchange bias of 932 Oe at 15 K. Room temperature dielectric constant is seen to be 7 × 104 at 1 Hz. Temperature-dependent dc conductivity follows Arrhenius relationship and the activation energy associated with the conduction mechanism is found to be 0.37 eV. The frequency-dependent dielectric constant and loss show that La2FeMnO6 exhibits relaxation behavior. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
