POSTGRADUATE TRAINING Colorectal surgery is a registrable subspecialty of general surgery in the National Specialist Register, and MSCRS members are actively involved in training. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have successfully provided training and conducted research activities by innovating delivery on multiple platforms. CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES The Society's annual coloproctology conference was held from 4 to 7 March 2021, and was conducted for the first time as an entirely virtual conference in light of the continuing uncertainties related to the pandemic.
