Abstrakt: The series takes the unique approach of combining a topical nuclear physics conference with workshop sessions focused on the discussion of open questions in a selected field of nuclear physics. The second African Nuclear Physics Conference (ANPC 2021) was hosted by the iThemba Laboratories for Accelerator Based Sciences (iThemba LABS) from 20 to 24 September 2021 with support from the National Research Foundation of South Africa, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Southern African Institute for Nuclear Technology and Sciences, the Department of Physics and the Metrological and Applied Sciences University Research Unit (MeASURe) at the University of Cape Town, the School of Physics at the University of the Witwatersrand, XiA, the National Metrology Institute of South Africa, and the South African Government Department of Science and Innovation, as well as the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy. The ANPC series was established with the intention of creating a high-level biennial international conference on current topics in nuclear physics that is hosted in Africa.
