Abstrakt: Dermoid cysts of the ovary are the most-common benign ovarian tumors in women, and present mostly in adolescents and reproductive-age women with pelvic mass, with chronic or acute pain due to torsion. Laparoscopy is the gold standard for surgical treatment of dermoid cysts. There has been much evolution in surgical trends and evidence for laparoscopic dermoid cystectomy. Hence, this article presents an institutional case series of laparoscopic surgery for dermoid cysts, with emphasis on conservation of the ovaries, and discuss the various methods of optimal management.
