Abstrakt: The present work describes "green" method of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesis using an aqueous extract of grape pomace (GPE)as a reducing and capping agent and preparation of Ag-NPs/kaolin composite. The grape pomace extract (GPE) was prepared by the ultrasound-assisted water extraction with subsequent oxidation by oxygen purge and characterized by liquid chromatography–mass spectroscopy (LC–MS), total phenolic (TPC) and total flavonoid contents (TFC). AgNPs were characterized by UV–vis spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The prepared GPE– AgNPs/Kaolin composite contained 1.26% of silver nanoparticles as was estimated using SEM and EDX techniques. The GPE– AgNPs/Kaolin composite exhibited an antimicrobial activity on the growth of Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
