We read with interest the letter by Coyner et al.1concerning our publication, "Oral dexamethasone sodium phosphate solution significantly reduces pruritus and clinical lesions in feline hypersensitivity dermatitis: an open-label study."2 We want to respond to some concerns raised in the letter regarding the interpretation of our reported study findings. We agree with Coyner et al. that the duration for every glucocorticoid administration, including oral DSP solution, should be evaluated for every individual patient based on the clinical responses and tapered accordingly rather than using a "standard of care" fixed duration period. Oral dexamethasone sodium phosphate solution significantly reduces pruritus and clinical lesions in feline hypersensitivity dermatitis: an open-label study. [Extracted from the article] |
