Abstrakt: Studies on the feeding potential of green lacewing, Chrysoperla sp. (Chrysopidae: Neuroptera) on eggs of chickpea pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) was conducted at the Bio-control Laboratory, IGKV, Raipur during 2018- 19. Larval stages of Chrysoperla sp. were evaluated for its feeding potential on eggs of H. armigera and the results revealed that Chrysoperla sp. as one of the best biological control agents for predating eggs of chickpea pod borer, H. armigera. The feeding potential increased consequently from the first, second and third instar with a mean of 37.95±0.044; 113.00±0.03 and 214.80±0.02 eggs, respectively. Total average larval consumption was found to be of 365.75±0.028 eggs/day. The maximum number of eggs of H. armigera was consumed by the third instar (214.80±0.02 eggs/day). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
