The field experiments were conducted during Kharif 2017-18 and 2018-19 at the Agricultural Research Station, Gangavathi, Karnataka, India to determine the comparative efficacy of combination insecticide Novaluron 5.25% + Emamectin benzoate 0.9% SC along with some conventional insecticides against stem borer of rice. All the tested insecticides were effective for stem borer in rice, but among the tested insecticides the molecule novaluron 5.25% + emamectin benzoate 0.9% SC @ 1750 or 1500 ml per ha can be used for the effective management of stem borer on paddy and showed the least impact on natural enemies. With reference to yield, the plots treated with novaluron 5.25% + emamectin benzoate 0.9% SC @ 1750 and 1500 ml per ha produced higher yield i.e. 68.90 and 65.72 q/ha, respectively compared to untreated plot (31.72 q/ha).
