Abstrakt: Herein the descriptive label-free mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) proteome of Erythroxylum pungens (roots, barks, leaves) harvested from its natural habitat is described. Processes related to defense were most important in roots. Main protective proteins differed among organs, suggesting part-specific strategies of environmental adaptation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
