Abstrakt: In the fifth week, worsening obstructive symptoms developed, and a low-dose CT demonstrated small bowel perforation. To our knowledge, this is also the first case describing SMV thrombosis in a pregnant woman with both double heterozygous factor V Leiden and prothrombin gene mutation, emphasising the importance of considering concomitant risk factors, as obesity, smoking and pregnancy also contributed to a hypercoagulable state in our patient. Computed tomography (CT) showed superior mesenteric vein (SMV) thrombosis with non-opacification of the left portal vein suggesting thrombus, dilated proximal small bowel with mural thickening and no perforation.
