In the article, the authors discuss the mathematical method of integration that can be used in the calculation of Riemann integrals as proposed by Joseph Liouville (1809-1882). Topics include how Liouville discovered the classes of integrals that could be transformed or reduced to other integrals and the concept developed by P. L. Chebyshev of systematically classifying the procedures of integration of some classes of functions. |
