Abstrakt: Globalization generally affects on development of the international organized crime in all state and social systems, regardless of whether they are countries of the developed Western democracies or countries of the "third world". Therefore, it is unnecessary to stress out the need for international police cooperation in protection of the security of citizens, the internal security of States and international security of the worlds regions. International police cooperation between the countries of Southeast Europe has a central place in the paper, referring to the fight against organized crime, terrorism and other most severe forms of crime. In this context, the paper analyses concrete types and forms of police cooperation expressed through initiatives, agreements and other documents, with special emphasis on the Convention on Police Cooperation in SEE. The second part of the paper authors analysing the place, role and tasks of the MOI RS in International police cooperation. In the conclusion is indicated the importance of cooperation and good neighbourhood relations in the region of former Yugoslavia and South Eastern Europe. especially in the sensitive areas of internal affairs, security and justice within the current process of European integration.
