In the column From the Archives, we focus on the work of the young poet and performer, artist and activist Martin Jelínek (June 29, 2001 - March 6, 2021), who died in an accident at the end of this winter. He had many friends who surrounded him and who are now gradually trying to map out his creative activities. He became the patron of the fifth annual of the Kvílení in Jihlava literary-music festival and published a photographic catalog that documented his performances. In addition, a poetry collection entitled I Call My Life a Performance (Životu říkám performance) has recently been released by the Adolescent publishing house. The excerpts are taken from his collections that were published when he was 13 years old. Most recently, he had tried his hand at writing screenplays and discovering the theatrical space.
