Abstrakt: The article discusses students absences in United States schools. Topics include one in six students considered as chronically absent miss almost fifteen days of school every year; excused absences are the ones for which parents contact the school and inform about it while other absences are considered as unexcused; and some absences are a result of crisis being faced by the students in their family.
