Synthesis and photophysical properties of new derivatives 4-oxothiazolidin-5-ylidenes.

Abstrakt: Herein we report the synthesis of new thiazolidinones by the reaction of 2-cyano-2-cyclohexylideneethanethioamides with dimethyl acetylene dicarboxylate. Thiazolidinones in solutions showed the weak fluorescence at 474-550 nm with high Stokes shift (170 nm) and positive solvatochromism. Further investigation demonstrated increasing of emission intensity of thiazolidinones in a solid state up to 9.3%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
