The article focuses on community-based obstetrical delivery services are declining in rural areas in Minnesota and across the country. Topics include the complex reasons contribute to this trend, but there has been little exploration of what kind of post-delivery care is given at sites that don't have an active program for obstetrical services, and the delivery care in Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in Minnesota and chose to look at programs where there were no active delivery programs. |
