Abstrakt: A so-called peace between Morocco and Israel was brokered by former US President Trump at the close of 2020. Implicated in it are the Israeli-Palestinian and Western Sahara conflicts. It is not clear that the agreement is distinct from relations announced between Morocco and Israel in 1994 and, thus, does not appear meaningfully different for Moroccan-Israeli relations and, by association, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It may, however, impact Western Sahara. Trump formally recognized Morocco's annexation of Western Sahara, something no state had previously done. That may backfire by raising awareness about the Sahrawi case for self-determination, about which widespread international ignorance has existed. Should that awareness transform into international will, a more just outcome might result. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
