Silver nanowires (AgNWs) are promising materials for applications that require conductivity associated with transparency and mechanical flexibility. Controlling the physical characteristics, as well as the synthesis residues, are the biggest challenges to be overcome during the production of silver nanowires. Here, the impact of using NaCl, CuCl2, or NaBr as halide salt on the physical characteristics of the AgNWs was evaluated. The values of the diameters obtained were 40.3 nm for NaCl, 142.5 nm for CuCl2, and 21.3 nm for NaBr. An evaluation of deposition parameters was performed and a sheet resistance of 9.4 Ohm/sq combined with a transmittance of 77.2% was achieved. Additionally, three post-treatments (acid vapor exposition, organic solvent washing, and thermal annealing) were applied to AgNWs films. The acid vapor exposition was the only effective treatment that improved the electrical conductivity by 20%, reaching values of 4.5 Ohm/sq. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
