Abstrakt: Myers ([5]) adapted this model to aid in the socialization of graduate students and graduate teaching assistants (GTAs), which is explained in greater detail by Myers and Martin ([7]). As enrollment in communication graduate programs continues to grow, the socialization and identification of graduate students warrant rethinking by communication education scholars who see this pedagogical evolution as both a challenge and an opportunity (Hoffmann-Longtin et al., [1]; Morreale et al., [3]). Myers ([4]) posited that during this stage, graduate students take into consideration their reasons for enrolling in a graduate program, and they seek information from a variety of sources that not only informs their interest in a particular area of study but also allows them to obtain information about graduate programs at specific institutions.
