Nanocurcumin particles have shown great interest in pharmacology field due to the medical effects and bioavailability of curcumin. Angina is a serious health issue characterized by chest pain. In this study, 40 subject diagnosed with angina and 40 control were enrolled. The TAC level was determined by Erel’s method as well as the activities of ALT, AST and ALP enzymes along with the parameters of lipid profile. Nanocurcumin particles were applied on patient’s serums and TAC, ALT, AST and ALP were reanalyzed. The levels of TGs and VLDL were significantly (P<0.05) elevated in serums of angina patients, whereas HDL level was significantly (P<0.05) decreased. The level of TAC was reduced significantly (P<0.05) in angina patients compared to healthy control, but after the application of nanocurcumin particles the capacity of antioxidant increased significantly (P<0.05) compared to control. The activities of ALT and AST were significantly (P<0.05) higher in angina patients compared to control. The application of nanocurcumin has shown significant (P<0.05) inhibition in the activities of ALT, AST and ALP enzymes of angina patient’s serums. The decrease of systemic antioxidant capacity suggest the important role on the antioxidant system in development of oxidative stress in angina disease. Nanocurcumin has shown excellent enhancement of antioxidant capacity as well as good inhibitory effects forALT, AST and ALP enzymes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
