Abstrakt: Chia (Salvia hispanica L.) is a plant that belongs to the Lamiaceae family. Its seeds are high in phenolic compounds and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which may help birds perform better and produce more. The purpose of this study was to evaluate how supplementing with chia seeds at various concentrations affected the growth performance, lipid profile, hematological, and meat quality of developing broilers. A total of 160 growing chicks (1-day-old) were divided equally into four groups (2 replicates with 20 birds each). The experimental groups were G1 (basal diet), G2 (basal diet + 5 gm chia seeds /kg diet), G3 (basal diet + 10 gm chia seeds /kg diet), G4 (basal diet + 15gm chia seeds /kg diet). The result of this study showed Birds in the G4 exhibited the highest body weight and the highest body weight gain. Birds fed diets enriched with 15\gm chia seed exhibited the best FCR values. The lipid profile was decrease ln cholesterol, LDL in G4 and increase in HDL value in G3. This study showed that quail diet supplementation with 15gm chia seeds /kg diet improved the growth performance and lipid profile in broiler. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
