The article discusses the history of a pumped storage power plant in Rönkhausen, Germany built by the energy supplier Elektromark or Mark-E. Topics include the construction of the plant during 1965 to 1968; the reduction in structural costs and space requirements from this modern technology; and the role of the pumped storage plant in helping meet the electricity demand to cover peak loads. |
