The article focuses on arrival of new fiber imported from the Levant and the West Indies then transformed the activity of the countryside where spinning experienced a meteoric rise. Topics include considered that at the instigation of merchants and manufacturers in urban centres, spinning wheels for cotton invaded the cottages of the surrounding countryside. |
