Abstrakt: This paper is a contribution to the history of Spanish phonetics through the textual series on pronunciation that was developed at the Real Colegio de Deaf-mudos in Madrid in the 19th century. The work of Francisco Fernández de Villabrille, professor in the second half of the century in the center, shows how the previous materials (Juan Pablo Bonet) were used and adapted and what was their continuation (Carlos Nebreda), which constitutes a contribution to linguistic historiography in a stage and in a teaching center still little explored.
