Longitudinal-Transverse bending of reinforced concrete rods on the basis of nonlinear diagrams of deformation of phase materials.

Abstrakt: The multilayered concrete rods of constant cross-section are considered. Approximation of the deformation diagram of phase materials of a rod is represented as approximation by the second-and third-order polynomials, which coefficients are obtained from actual diagrams of concrete tension and compression. The criterion of conditional limit state in this paper is achievement of the maximum permissible value by the maximum deformation in one or several layers of the rod under tension or compression, corresponding to the points of transition to the descending branch in the deformation diagram. Different variants of the most common shapes of cross-sections of the rod are considered, and the dependencies of maximum deformations in the rod on the parameters of the cross-section shape are given for each case. These problems are considered with and without taking into account the own weight of the rod. All calculations for given problems are made in the Maple symbolic computing system by the Bubnov– Galerkin method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
