Abstrakt: The choice of Ca2+, Zn2+, and Mn2+ cations for the ion-exchange synthesis of complex anticorrosive pigments based on synthetic zeolite is substantiated. We establish the degree and specific features of influence of the nature of these cations on the structure, morphology, and degree of dispersion of zeolite, and evaluate its ion-exchange capacity. We develop methodical approaches to the liquid-phase ion-exchange modification of zeolite and determine its optimal conditions: the temperature of the process, its duration, and the type of metal salts. It is shown that zeolite modified by ions of bivalent metals is a promising base material for new anticorrosion ecologically friendly pigments used in paint-and-varnish primers.
