Abstrakt: The article informs about legal documents of the early modern period show typical features of legal or chancellery-language text types that Joachim Heinrich Campe's writings shows at the beginning of the 19th century in rigid language. Topics include view to the language of the 15th century. One of the manifestations of this formulaic character is the use of two-part or multi-part expressions; and using three testamentary dispositions from different territories of the Holy Roman Empire.
